CVP begins 2014 water year with 75 percent of average

Central Valley Project begins new water year with 75 percent of the water of the 15-year average supply in six key reservoirs.

The Bureau of Reclamation’s Central Valley Project began water year 2014 (Oct. 1, 2013 - Sept. 30, 2014) with 5.1 million acre-feet of water in six key CVP reservoirs. This amount is about 75 percent of the 15-year average.

The reservoirs include Shasta, Trinity, Folsom, New Melones, and Millerton reservoirs and the federal share of the joint federal-state San Luis Reservoir.
