The California chapter of the American Society of Farm Managers and Rural Appraisers (ASFMRA) will offer six opportunities for continuing education during its Sept. 29 – Oct. 2 fall meeting in Monterey.
The classes geared to farm managers, rural appraisers, and agricultural consultants offer training to improve skills in the workplace.
The dates and classes include: Sept. 29 - leadership in agriculture, plus marketing a business and selling the value of professional farm management and agricultural consulting; and Sept. 30 - capital improvements, budgeting, and international consulting, plus workshop technology applications in appraisal – Google Earth.
Oct. 1 classes will focus on the financial aspects of agriculture, and ASFMRA best in business ethics.

The meeting location is the Hilton Garden Inn, 1000 Aguajito Rd. in Monterey. An Oct. 2 golf tournament will benefit the ASFMRA California scholarship fund. Group discount rates are available.
