Group submits comments on Navajo Generating Station

EPA’s proposed rule significantly reduces emissions from an important Arizona power plant while providing greater certainty for the state’s water and power customers

A technical work group (TWG) established to identify emission reduction alternatives for the Navajo Generating Station, located near Page, Ariz., has submitted comments supporting the Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) supplemental best available retrofit technology (BART) proposal for the Arizona power plant. 

In October, EPA published a supplemental proposal that incorporates in a large part a BART alternative that was submitted by the TWG three months earlier.
