The Jackson farming family of Goshen, Calif. has grown tree fruit and other crops for multiple generations. Today, production includes various tree fruits, blueberries, and large corn ears for tamales - all on about 4,000 acres. About 20 percent of the fruit supply is grown by other producers.
What stands out about the family's 'Family Tree Farms' operation is that all employees are considered members of the "family." There is a strong committment to growing the best-tasting fruit possible, plus a strong emphasis on breeding to help keep the operation financially in the black.
