As the harvest winds down, now is great time for farmers to prepare for the season ahead by learning about pump efficiency and incentives to replace or retrofit inefficient pumps. Learning how to evaluate energy efficiency for agricultural pumps will be the subject of a free workshop at Fresno State on Dec. 14.
The program will also include a real-time pump efficiency demonstration, information about pump efficiency tests and a variable speed drive demonstration. Anyone interested in attending this free event can register online by visiting www.californiawater.org/IrrigationTech or by calling (800) 845-6038; space is limited. The program includes a continental breakfast and lunch.
This seminar is part of a series of irrigation efficiency programs presented by the Center for Irrigation Technology at Fresno State. The Irrigation Tech Seminar series is working to provide growers information on a variety of techniques and technologies to help with irrigation efficiency.
Working for over 25 years to improve irrigation efficiency, the Center for Irrigation Technology at Fresno State is internationally recognized as an independent testing laboratory, applied research facility and educational resource for water and irrigation technology.
