EPA awards bee health grants

EPA is funding three IPM studies with a goal of reducing the use of pesticides that can be hazardous to honey bees and other pollinators.

EPA announced that it is funding three independent studies on integrated pest management (IPM) with a goal of reducing the use of pesticides that can be hazardous to honey bees and other pollinators.

The EPA awarded about $460,000 in total grant funding to Louisiana State U., the U. of Vermont and Pennsylvania State U. to research alternative pest control methods/best practices to lower risk to bees while still effectively controlling pests.
