Research symposium is Nov. 16 at the Pivot Point Conference Center at Yuma, Ariz.

The Yuma Center of Excellence for Desert Agriculture (YCEDA) will hold a research symposium on Nov. 16, 2017 at the Pivot Point Conference Center located at 310 N. Madison at Yuma, Ariz.

Check-in is at 8:30 a.m. The symposium starts at 9 a.m. and ends at noon.

·         Advancing Fusarium Wilt Management in Lettuce - Barry Pryor;

·         Big data analytics and decision tools for soil health and mitigating soilborne diseases - Jerry Hatfield and Frank D’Agnese;

·         Expanded Sampling and Mitigation Strategy Evaluation for Heavy Metals in Desert Spinach - Charles Sanchez, UA; and

·         Quantitative Assessments of Water & Salt Balance for Cropping Systems in Lower Colorado River Irrigation Districts - Charles Sanchez, and Andrew French, USDA-ARS Arid Lands Research Center

The symposium is free and open to everyone, but online registration is required. Registration closes Nov. 12.
