Northern California floods inundate farmland

Flooding across northern California flooded millions of acres of farmland in January and February.

Photos submitted by Western Farm Press readers show flooding across parts of the Sacramento Valley in northern California. This water was a result of runoff that overflowed the Sacramento River and inundated orchards north of Sacramento.

Denise Carter farms diversified crops, including rice and prunes near Colusa, Calif. with her husband, Ben. Together they own Benden Farms.
