The Farm Credit Associations have always been strong supporters of the International Agri-Center, World Ag Expo, and the entire agriculture industry. To further their support and dedication to the world's largest agricultural exposition, the World Ag Expo announced it will rename the Tulare Dairy Center, the Farm Credit Dairy Center.
The 80,000 square foot dairy pavilion houses hundreds of dairy exhibits during the annual Expo every February. It is the most highly trafficked area of the grounds by show attendees and well suited for involvement from Farm Credit.
“It seemed like a logical fit. We've been supporters of the Agri-Center for years and agriculture since 1916. With the dairy industry being the single largest commodity in California, this is a perfect way to show our dedication to dairying and the largest showcase of dairy innovation and technology,” said Edward Jones, vice president of Farm Credit West.
World Ag Expo staff and leadership are happy to welcome Farm Credit as a major participant at the show.
“The Dairy Center is a critical component to the Expo and other events throughout the year. Everyone at the Agri-Center appreciates Farm Credit's support. I look forward to a strong partnership for years to come,” said Jerry Sinift, general manager of the International Agri-Center.
The Farm Credit Associations began in 1916 with an act of Congress in order to ensure that farmers had a reliable source of financing. The Farm Credit System is the single largest lender to agriculture in the U.S. Each Farm Credit Association is independently owned and operated by borrowing stockholders. As it was in the beginning, agriculture and ag related industries is Farm Credit's only lending group.
A special ceremony to unveil the Farm Credit Dairy Center will take place in the coming months. A specific date has not been selected.
Participating sponsors in the Farm Credit Dairy Center naming include: Farm Credit West, American AgCredit, Yosemite Farm Credit, CoBank/Farm Credit Leasing, Fresno Madera Farm Credit, Sacramento Valley Farm Credit, Farm Credit Services Southwest, Northwest Farm Credit Services, Farm Credit Services of America, Northern California Farm Credit, and Federal Land Bank Association of Kingsburg.
