Alfalfa-Grains Symposium Dec. 10-12 in Long Beach

The 2014 Alfalfa and Grains Symposium is coming up soon – Dec. 10-12 – at the Long Beach (Calif.) Convention Center.

If you are a farmer, pest control advisor, industry member, agency representative, or simply interested in alfalfa and forage, this is a ‘can’t-miss’ event.

The annual symposium is your opportunity to learn more about the latest innovations, market trends, water and environmental issues, pest management, production practices, and more.

These topics and others will be discussed by knowledgeable speakers which will allow participants to compare notes and network with fellow industry members from across the western region.

On Dec. 10, a Long Beach Export Tour will be held (ticketed event), touring export facilities for hay and grain destined for ports around the world while hearing from exporters on quality demands.

The symposium will include an alfalfa subsurface drip irrigation workshop, sponsored by Netafim.

In addition to the diverse educational offerings, visit the exhibit area featuring exhibits of cutting-edge alfalfa and forage products, and services.

The California Alfalfa & Forage Association (CAFA) will have an auction Dec. 11 to benefit the Association, Contact CAFA to donate and come ready to bid.

The symposium is organized by the Cooperative Extension Services in 11 western states.
