Almond Board election complete

The Almond Board of California has released election results for the board of directors positions whose terms of office will begin March 1, 2005.

The names of the following nominees have been sent to the U.S. Secretary of Agriculture for certification:

Independent Grower:

Member Position One (one year term): Brad Klump, Escalon; Alternate Position One: Fred Olmstead, Fresno.

Independent Handler:

Member Position One (three year term): Dean Nelson; Alternate Position One: Mohnish Seth; Member Position Three (one year term): Rick Kindle; Alternate Position Three: Ron Fisher.

Cooperative Handler:

Member (three year term): Susan Brauner; Alternate Dave Baker.

Cooperative Grower:

Member (three year term): Doug Wells; Alternate Bill Brush.

The Almond Board of California administers a grower-enacted Federal Marketing Order under the supervision of the United States Department of Agriculture.
