Davenport heads APMA

Clairen Davenport of J.G. Boswell Co. Corcoran, Calif., is the new president of the Agricultural Personnel Management Association (APMA).

Other officers elected were Paul Powell of Foothill Packing, Salinas, vice president, and Anthony Gutierrez of Western Growers, Phoenix, secretary-treasurer. Ed McClements of United Agribusiness Insurance Svcs., Irvine, will remain on the board as past president.

Ronald Barsamian of Barsamian, Saqui & Moody, Fresno, was re-elected valley area director; Yesenia Plascencia of Jackson Enterprises, Santa Rosa, was elected northern area director; J.C. Andrade of Coastal Berry Co., Watsonville, was elected coastal area director; Jorge Gallegos of Robert Mondavi Winery, Oakville was appointed northern membership Development Coordinator; Alex Drollinger of United Agribusiness League, Salinas, was reappointed coastal membership development coordinator and Sylvia Gomez of Harris Farms, Coalinga, was reappointed valley membership development coordinator.

Newly elected to the board is Lourdes Gonzalez of Western Growers, Yuma, southern area director. Two were appointed to the board; Helen Salas of Harry Singh & Sons, Oceanside, southern membership development coordinator and Santos Martinez of Salyer American Fresh Foods, Salinas, who was appointed professional development coordinator.
