Grape growers set field day

The California Association of Winegrape Growers, Sonoma County Grape Growers Association and Russian River Valley Winegrowers are hosting the 3rd Annual Pest Management Alliance Field Day at Holy Ghost Hall, 7960 Mill Station Road in Sebastopol on April 25, 2003. Registration for PCA/PCO and Private Applicator CEU's begins at 8:30.

Open to all grape growers, the program will include Tom Lanini, UC Davis, discussing weed identification, Michael Costello, Cal Poly, addressing the sulfur effects on mite populations, and Terry Pritchard from UC Davis, with information on irrigation management.

A Spanish-language program from 10 a.m.-12 noon will include speakers on sulphur stewardship & safety, vine mealybug identification, and weed identification.

At noon, Russian River Valley Winegrowers will serve a no-host BBQ Lunch — $10 and bring a bottle of wine to share. For reservations contact Sonoma County Grape Growers Association at (707) 206-0603 or e-mail: [email protected].
