It's show time at Stockton Ag Expo

It's show time once again in Stockton, Calif.

Stockton Ag Expo 2004 will hold its 27th consecutive three-day run Jan. 20-22 at the San Joaquin Fairgrounds.

Stockton attracts hundreds of exhibitors from throughout the state each year in what has been considered a more buying-friendly show. It attracts many small manufacturers and dealers eager to do business. The major manufacturers will be there as well in the form of dealers.

Along with commercial exhibits, there also will be booths manned by University of California Cooperative Extension and other government and educational organizations.

New this year is a pancake breakfast on the first day of the show, Tuesday, for all show visitors. It's free with the price of admission, and will be held from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. Breakfast is being organized by Molly Watkins and the San Joaquin Cattlewomen.

There also will be a new ride and drive area

The Forklift rodeo will be held once again. Trials will be held all three days of the show at 1:30 p.m., near Building 2. Last year's winner was Holt of California.

Admission is $5 for adults; $2 for ages 6-12, and free to those younger accompanied by an adult. FFA and 4-H members in uniform are admitted free. And as always, parking is free.
