Global food shortage may be approaching fast

Most food experts have been focusing on the need to increase world food production to feed 9 billion people by 2050. But the world’s need for more food could be much more pressing than that. Bayer CropScience leaders believe world food demand could grow by 25 percent between 2010 and 2020. The company’s Lykele van der Broek explains in this interview at Bayer CropScience’s 2012 Ag Issues Forum in Nashville, Tenn.
