Former California Ag Secretary AG Kawamura is the featured speaker at a luncheon during the upcoming World Ag Expo.
The event called the “Farmers' Lunch” is new to World Ag Expo. It takes place Feb. 12 from noon to 1 p.m. in the VIP Event Tent.
Kawamura is a progressive urban farmer who has been actively involved in agricultural policy at the local, regional, national and international levels. He is the co-chair of Solutions From the Land, a founding board member of the Delta Vision Foundation and a trustee of both the Southern California Water Committee and the California WateReuse Foundation.
“Our team continuously seeks to improve our grounds, our events, and our entire show,” said Jerry Sinift, CEO of the International Agri-Center, which produces World Ag Expo.
“Hosting the Farmers’ Lunch and inviting AG Kawamura to speak fits in perfectly with our vision of attracting those who are involved in agriculture, particularly those who farm.”
The lunch will be catered by Pardini’s of Fresno. General seating tickets can be purchased online for $35 each, or reserve a table for eight for $280. Admission to World Ag Expo is not required to gain admittance to the Farmer's Lunch.
Tickets may be purchased at http://www.worldagexpo.org/farmerslunch.
The World Ag Expo attracts over 100,000 individuals from 40-50 countries each year.
