Norris new CCI president for 2004

Calcot President Robert W. Norris has been elected president for 2004 of Cotton Council International (CCI) by CCI's board of directors.

Norris replaces David Stanford of Plains Cotton Cooperative Association (PCCA). Stanford, elected in early February to the CCI post, resigned as CCI president upon leaving PCCA.

Norris is no stranger to CCI, having served several terms as a CCI director.

CCI is the international division of the National Cotton Council of America. Its mission is to increase exports of U.S. cotton, cottonseed and U.S. manufactured cotton products through activities that affect every phase of the marketing chain, from the initial mill buyer of cotton fiber or purchaser of U.S. cotton-rich yarns and fabrics on through to the final consumer.
