Park and Ride popular feature for attendees

With 100,000 people trying to get to the World Ag Expo grounds on a two-lane road, traffic jams were part of the process of getting to the Tulare Farm Show just off Highway 99 for several years.

No more.

Several years ago the farm show initiated a park and ride program with acres of offsite free parking and free shuttle service.

Park and Ride passengers not only take advantage of the free shuttle service running every 15 minutes, but they can purchase admission tickets to the show without waiting in line, and enjoy a complimentary cup of coffee.

Orange Belt Stages buses will move passengers between five off-site parking areas to the World Ag Expo show grounds:

  • Horizon Outlet Center, located at Prosperity and Highway 99 in Tulare.

  • Tulare County Fairgrounds, located at the grandstand parking area (through Gate 14 on Bardsley Avenue and Gate 17 on K Street), in Tulare.

  • Tulare Airport, located at Avenue 200 and Highway 99 in Tulare.

  • Mid-Valley Gin, located at Cartmill Avenue and Highway 99 in Tulare.

  • Visalia Mall, located at Walnut and Mooney Blvd. in Visalia. (Note: Visalia route picks up every 30 minutes)

Park and Ride shuttle buses will drop off and pick up at the west end of the show grounds, Gate 2, near the Heritage Complex. People movers routinely stop at Gate 2 to pick up and distribute attendees and exhibitors around the show grounds if needed.
