SCGGA grower seminar set for August 8

The third Grower Seminar for 2006 will be held on Tuesday, Aug. 8, at Paradise Ridge Winery, 4545 Thomas Lake Harris Drive, Santa Rosa, at 6:30 p.m.

The program will include a “Market Update” by Brian Clements of Turrentine Brokerage and Michael Ricioli, CPA, of Moss Adams LLP, on “Taxation Issues for Vineyard Owners.” Nick Frey will provide an update on the Sonoma County Winegrape Commission. Growers are invited to the wine and cheese reception that begins at 6:30 p.m.

Grape growing is more than a production business. Today, more than ever, growers must also be experts in marketing, contract negotiations, business planning and financing. The 2006seminar series will address these areas of vineyard business management.

Reservations are needed. To sign up for the August 8th seminar: FAX or e-mail your name(s) and business name to (707) 823-6850 or [email protected] by Aug. 4.

Seminars are free for SCGGA members and $20 for non-members. For more information, call SCGGA at (707) 829-3963.
