Williams re-elected Sunkist head

Tulare County, Calif., citrus grower Al Williams has been elected to his second term as chairman of the Sunkist Growers board of directors.

Williams has been on the board since 1988. He is president of Visalia Fruit Exchange and chairman and president of the Visalia Citrus Association and Visalia Packing Group, which owns three citrus packinghouses. He manages the family's citrus and olive orchards, which were fist planted in the San Joaquin Valley in 1914.

The following were elected vice chairmen:

Alan Pinkerton of Ventura, Calif., a director of Limoneira Co. and Saticoy Lemon Association; William E. Chaney of Sun City, Ariz., president of Marling Packing Co. and Marlin Ranching Co., and Russell Katayama of Orosi, Calif., general manger of Katayama and Sons Inc.
